THE LDI PLAN ROOM NETWORK

 The LDI Plan Room Network fills an important need in the bid process. If you develop or design, your projects get maximum exposure through the LDI Plan Room Network. If you are a bidder, you can stop at any LDI Plan Room to review hard copy plan sets for any job placed on-file with LDI. Jobs are shared between our Plan Rooms by means of LDI’s  Digital Courier Service, which links all Plan Room locations. When you have determined what specifications and drawings you need, prints can be made for you on a print-while you-wait basis.
 

• FREE LDI Plan Room membership to qualified industry professionals.
• Plan sets for any job placed on file with LDI are available at all LDI Plan Rooms.
• Plan Room placement of projects is FREE to architects, general contractors, government agencies, etc. All we need is one complete set of documents, either digital or hard-copy (hard-copy sets are scanned and then returned intact to you for your own use.)
• Laptop workstations are available at most LDI locations. You can “plug in and log on” at the Plan Room or while you wait for prints.

The LDI-Line On-Line uses the Internet to deliver job listings to sub-contractors and materials suppliers who are bidding jobs placed on-file with LDI. Job information is distributed to thousands of prospective bidders and suppliers every day. This assures owners, architects  and general contractors and government agencies wide exposure during the bid process. A subscription to the LDI-Line On-Line is FREE and is “delivered” daily to any qualified industry professional. All you need is an e-mail address. There is no better information value available in the construction industry.
 

• Delivered overnight five times each week to your corporate or personal e-mail box.
• Subscriptions are FREE. You can register on-line through LDI’s web page.
• Information is displayed in fully-“dynamic” (html) format loaded with useful interactive links putting you in touch with key people and important information resources.

INTERNET JOB SITES^TM

Increasingly, architects and general contractors are seeing the benefits of creating a shared data base for a project. This improves the efficiency of bidding and building the bricks-and-mortar site.  LDI can help. We provide data-intensive Internet Job Sites that can be used to track jobs through the bid stage and into the construction phase, keeping subs and materials suppliers in the information flow with job data, addendas, contractor notes, interactive links, etc. LDI’s Internet Job Sites can be either customer-specific (one customer, many jobs) or job-specific (for example, one job with multiple general contractors or architects, or a single project with multiple locations.) This unique service puts users at the forefront of the Internet revolution; it is available FREE from LDI to qualifying customers.
 

• Full html scripting assures web-page-like quality, including full color and animated graphics. You Job Site will look as good as your advertising web page.
• Your Job Site is updated whenever new information is available, throughout the day, if necessary.
• Job Sites have e-mail response forms and interactive “Notes” pages available to provide information to and receive comments and questions from subs and suppliers.
• Customized content and links to other web sites, key personal or other data sites add convenience and information value to your Site.
• Job Sites can be open (for public jobs, for example) or private (limited access.)
• Bidder or plan holder lists can be posted on a secure web page for access on-line.
• LDI can manage your (digital or manual) data base, or you can use LDI’s digital data base for bid information distribution.

NETWORK ATTACHED STORAGE (LDI-NAS)

LDI Network (Internet) Attached Storage is an ideal information tool for architects, engineers and general contractors who need to make drawings and specifications (as well as management information) available to co-workers or suppliers, some of whom may be working at field locations or offices thousands of miles away. LDI provides controlled access, on-line storage that can be customer-specific (one customer, one or multiple projects) or project-specific (for example, a project with multiple locations or one requiring multiple access points.) LDI indexes the data and merges and purges as needed, so that data is continuously managed to customer requirements. Data placed on-line is accessible from anywhere in the world via the Internet (appropriate levels of security are available.) LDI-NAS is available FREE to qualifying LDI customers.
 

• Private NAS sites allow on-line storage and access worldwide through the Internet.
• User ID and password protected sites allow only limited access to authorized personnel or collaborators, where appropriate.
• Anonymous NAS is available in cases where open upload but controlled download access is required.
• Large sites (expandable in 100 mb increments) allow storage and transfer of hundreds of large format  or small format (pdf) files.
• Multiple sites are available to qualifying customers.
• LDI NAS sites can be managed and administered by LDI, including site management (security, etc) and data management (indexing, uploading of files, merge/purge, etc.)
• NAS sites are available at NO COST to qualifying customers.
